Search & Summary reports are literature searches generated in response to client requests for information about technologies that have not already been addressed in other Hayes reports. These reports provide information to clients quickly, and are the first step in evaluation of a technology. Each Search & Summary report describes findings from focused searches of MEDLINE and other National Library of Medicine databases, EMBASE, and regulatory databases.

Relevant abstracts from English-language, peer-reviewed clinical trials and review articles on the topic are also included, along with all available information about applicable regulatory approvals and national coverage decisions by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Results are sent directly to the requester and posted in the Knowledge Center for the use of all subscribers.
