Health Technology Assessment Knowledge Center
The Hayes Health Technology Assessment Knowledge Center is a dynamic, web-based, user-friendly resource that delivers independent, unbiased, and evidence-based analyses of new, emerging, and controversial healthcare technologies. Designed for professionals who are responsible for policy development, strategic planning, and technology acquisition, the Knowledge Center comprises six health technology assessment (HTA) products: Technology Prognosis; Medical Technology Directory; Health Technology Briefs; Genetic Test Evaluation reports; Search & Summary reports; and News Service.
Developed to facilitate evidence-based decision making, the Hayes Health Technology Assessment Knowledge Center provides a simple and efficient interface that allows volumes of information about a wide array of medical technologies to be retrieved from a single source. Users can then quickly evaluate the impact of a particular health technology on patient outcomes, healthcare utilization, and cost, all of which ultimately have an impact on the quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare.
Medical Technology Directory reports and Health Technology Briefs (HT Briefs) provide comprehensive health technology assessments of the safety and efficacy of a wide range of new or emerging health technologies, existing technologies for which there is new or conflicting evidence of safety or efficacy, and existing technologies that are being used for new applications. These technologies include imaging equipment, surgical implants, medical devices, diagnostic tests, drugs and biologics, behavioral health diagnostics and therapies, complementary and alternative medicine, and preventive and public health strategies.
Technology Prognosis is a horizon scanning service that monitors new health technologies 1 to 3 years before they enter the marketplace and tracks emerging technologies as they go through clinical trial development and the regulatory approval process.
Search & Summary reports are literature searches generated in response to client requests for information about technologies that have not already been addressed in other Hayes reports.
Genetic Test Evaluation reports are evidence-based health technology assessments of the clinical utility of available genetic tests across a range of conditions and applications.
The News Service provides timely information about regulatory actions, scientific reports, and policy announcements from government agencies such as the FDA, CDC, NIH, and CMS. The News Service also covers new guidelines and recommendations from health organizations and medical associations, as well as relevant results from recently published clinical trials.
Mental and Behavioral Health reports are evidence-based health technology assessments of the safety and efficacy of a wide variety of tests, drugs, procedures, devices, behavioral therapies, and complementary and alternative medicine treatments that address mental and behavioral health disorders.
