News Service
The goal of the Hayes News Service is to keep our clients up to date with current clinical and administrative issues that promote better health outcomes.
Each week, the News Service team scans more than 75 peer-reviewed journals, as well as news briefings from government agencies, medical associations, and research institutes. We then summarize selected studies and other relevant information and provide brief commentary as to whether the findings are likely to have a substantial clinical impact. The News Service site is updated daily, and, in many cases, items are published concurrently with release of the clinical trial reports to the general public.
The journals we monitor include:
- Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and Archives
- New England Journal of Medicine
- Annals of Internal Medicine
- The Lancet
- Lancet Oncology
- Journal of Health Care Management
- Journal of Clinical Oncology
- Journal of the National Cancer Institute
- Circulation
- Neurology
- British Medical Journal
- Journal of Vascular Surgery
- Clinical Infectious Diseases
- Diabetes Care
- Pediatrics
- Canadian Medical Association Journal
We also monitor regulatory approvals from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), national coverage decisions from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and news from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Institutes of Health, as well as new guidelines and positions statements from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and a number of professional societies, including the American Medical Association (AMA), American Diabetes Association (ADA), American Heart Association (AHA), and American College of Physicians (ACP).
Stay current with late-breaking medical news from Hayes News Service.
