Cryoablation, also known as cryosurgery or cryotherapy, is the technique of destroying cells using subfreezing temperatures. Cryoablation of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is usually performed by an interventional radiologist to destroy tumor cells in lung masses using freeze-thaw cycles.
