Robotic Surgery Claims on United States Hospital Websites. J Healthcare Quality. 2011 May 17). I’d like to briefly summarize the study and the results for you today.

The researchers examined where on the hospital website robotic surgery information was located, and whether the hospital used manufacturer-provided images and text and/or included a direct link to the manufacturers’ websites. The investigators also looked at the robotic surgery website content for clinical superiority statements, statements of improved cancer outcome, mention of risks, mention of a comparison group, and the inclusion of citations.
